New Start

I decided to try my hand a blogging again.  I am going to do better about updating our blog.

2013 has brought a lot of changes for us.  We moved to a beautiful new house in Queen Creek.  We didn't move far and the kids were all able to stay in the same schools.

We did change wards.  This was very bittersweet we really loved the Stonecrest Ward and the many friends we have there.  Rob was serving in the bishopric and truly enjoyed that calling ( I think this was the hardest part about moving).  He really loved serving the ward.  We moved back into a ward that we were split from about two years ago.  So at least we were re-joining many friends there.  This Sunday Rob received a calling as the Young Men's secretary.  This is his first time serving in Young Men's.  I was called to teach in Relief Society.  I am excited for this calling, this is the first time I will serve in the Relief Society.  After teaching Gospel Doctrine, I am sure that I will learn more by teaching than those that I will teach.

This past Sunday Rob's Uncle Rick and Aunt Janell visited with us.  It was fun to see them.   They attended church with them and we were able to have lunch and catch up.   We really miss being close to family.  One day maybe we will live near family again.

I guess since it's been so long I should give a quick update on each of the kids.  Ashley is a sophmore this year.  She is excelling in school.  She is very excited to be able to get her learn's permit, the first step to a driver's license.  She is stunning.

Kelsie is in seventh grade and started Junior High this year.  She is also doing very well in school.  This past year she has had to take a break from dancing due to a hip injury.  She turned twelve in May and is enjoying Young Women's.

Cameron will hit double digits tomorrow.  It's hard to believe he is going to be ten.  He is enjoying school and does well.  He has Rob's sense of humor and has been voted class clown the past few years.

Looking at how much our kids have grown makes me realize that life moves to quickly.  Some how I would like to slow it down.  I am often reminded that I need to relish each moment that we are given.

Christmas 2011

It's been a long time since I have updated our blog.  I thought I would post a few pictures from Christmas.

Christmas morning.  They are all wearing their new PJ's.

I love this one of my girls.

Ashley has grown into a young lady.  I can't believe she is in highschool this year.

This is Kelsie and Cameron at their Christmas program.  Cameron was so excited to be Santa.

Spring Break

Spring break is here in Arizona.  The sun is shining.  It has been in the 80's all week.  Watching all the new coverage on the earthquake in Japan, has made me extremely grateful for all that I have.  We are all healthy and we really learned last year how important and what a blessing that is.  My kids are growing by leaps and bounds.  Crazy Ashley is going to high school next year.  I am still not sure how that is happening.  I am very lucky to be married to my best friend.  It has been so amazing to have him finally working in Arizona.  Cameron was baptized last month.  He was so excited and the day was amazing.  I promise to post pictures soon.  I am truly grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who makes all things possible.

Here's a quick update.  I haven't posted in a few months.  I guess we have been busy.  Well we are so excited that Cameron is getting baptized on this Saturday.  He can't wait.  Rob got a new job with the Town of Gilbert.  This is huge since he will no longer have to travel.  He started last week and it's been wonderful to have him home every night.  Kelsie is dancing at the PHX Sun's basketball game tomorrow.  She  is such and incredible little dancer.  Ashley is getting her patriarchal blessing tonight.  I can't believe how fast they are all growing up.

Happy Thanksgiving

This week started out very crazy.  Rob was in a lot of pain and on Sunday night I took him to the emergency room.  They admitted him and he spent the next three days being poked and prodded.  We still are not sure what is causing the pain.  However we do know that it is colon related.  We are just very grateful to have him home for Thanksgiving.

We had a quiet day at home today.  I made dinner and our friend Kirsten came over and brought along Zari, Mason and Savannah.  It was great to see them.  Poor Rob is still on a special diet and could not eat much.  He had a little bit of mashed potatoes and some sweet potatoes.  Hopefully this won't be to long before he is able to tolerate solids.

This year has seen many ups and downs.  Through it all we have been very blessed to have so many wonderful family and friends.  As we reflect on this Thanksgiving we could not be more thankful for each of you.

Here's to a fabulous rest of 2010.

Hello Again

It's been a month since I have blogged which means that Rob has been home for a month. He is doing so good right now. He still has some pain, and he can't lift anything yet. He can't work for another two weeks. I am amazed at how quickly he is healing. After all we been through since July, it has just made me love him more. Who knew that this could bring us closer together.

The kids are all doing really well. Ashley was awesome as the Queen of Hearts in Alice and Wonderland. She was the only one in the play that did not need a microphone. She is looking more an more like a young lady. She is taller than me by about two inches.

Kelsie is dancing again this year. She is in a performing group. This means she is taking four classes:ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical. She loves it, she has been dancing since before she could walk. This is her joy.

Cameron is all boy. He is having a lot of fun in second grade.  He is a looking forward to being baptised in January.  He loves all sports.  I never thought I would be the mom, constantly telling him to stop bouncing, kicking, throwing balls in the house.  YIKES!

I am really trying to cook more healthy meals, to help Rob and the kids. As I find good recipes I will post them here.

Well there's the quick update.

Rob's going home

I can't believe I am typing those words. I have waited all week to type them and tonight, Rob is going home. He is still on a full liquid diet and has a drain. But since he is doing so well he gets to come home. My heart is full with love for him. I am so excited to have him sleep next tonight. I don't even mind his snoring. I can't express how grateful I am for all the prayers, fasting and the blessings. It is truly a miracle that Rob is going home so soon. They told us to prepare for a seven day hospital stay after the surgery. Well he is going home on day 4 and it feels wonderful.

Love to all.
